Who can make nominations?
Only eligible proposers can submit nominations. To be an eligible proposer, you must be one of the following:
1. An Editorial Board Member of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology (APJO)
2. A Council Member of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology
3. A Fellow of the Academy of Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology
Each proposer can submit a maximum of 3 nominations.
The Chair will work in conjunction with the Secretary to make additional nominations to ensure that eligible and well-deserved candidates are included as much as possible.
Timeline
The 2nd AP Eye 100 (2024) will be open for nomination in December 2024. Below is the Timeline:
Dec 1 – 31, 2024 | Accept nominations |
Jan 1 – 31, 2025 | 1st Round Selection for Top 100 + 2nd Round Selection for Top 10 |
Early Feb, 2025 | Confidential Emails to Individual Top 100 Awardees + Awardees’ Confirmation of Attendance at Recognition Ceremony |
Early Apr, 2025 | Official Announcement of Top 100 and Top 10 Awardees & Recognition Ceremony |
Nomination details will be provided in due course.
Public announcement of the Top 100 and Top 10 results and presentation of certificates will be conducted at the Recognition Ceremony during the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress in India in 2025.
