              "Prof. Dennis Lam is a visionary leader in ophthalmology, having served as President and OC Chair of the 2008 World Ophthalmology Congress. He is a Past President of the Asia-Pacific Vitreo-Retina Society(APVRS) and the APAO, and the Founding President of the Asia-Pacific Society of Eye Genetics (APSEG). Currently, he is the Secretary-General of Academy of the Asia-Pacific Professors of Ophthalmology (AAPPO) and Asia-Pacific Myopia Society (APMS). He founded the Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology (APAO) in 2012 and various Leadership Development Programs. Additionally, he established \"Project Vision,\" which has created 33 charity eye units in China, completing over 250,000 cataract surgeries."
